About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Construction & More Corp. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roof Installation and Repair: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects and operate CADD and other computer software systems to plan and manage projects.
  • Health and Safety: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and work effectively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring strong physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
