We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at George Roque Roofing Corp. as a key member of our commercial roofing crew.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to facilitate roofing operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand roofing project requirements.
- Work on various types of roofing projects, including shingled roofs, modified roofing systems, and single-ply sheet membrane roofing systems.
- Transport yourself to work sites, as you will be required to travel to different locations.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and performing physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Work under pressure to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of your daily tasks.
- Ensure you have the necessary personal protective equipment, including steel-toed safety boots.
- 2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
- Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and dangerous environments.
- Commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
- Dependability, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week.
