We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Matrix Logistics Services Limited.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance functions of our facility, including equipment maintenance. This role requires a strong leader who can provide direction and guidance to the maintenance team, while ensuring the facility and all production equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team in areas of safety, sanitation, quality, customer service, and preventative maintenance.
- Develop and implement long-term goals for the maintenance department, aligning with the company's strategic plans.
- Create a positive working environment for all associates, promoting continuous improvement, employee empowerment, and problem-solving skills.
- Establish a cohesive line of communication between the maintenance department and other plant/corporate departments.
- Ensure all equipment, building, and company policies comply with federal, state, and city regulatory agencies, including OSHA and EPA.
- Actively seek out and implement new solutions to improve equipment efficiency, changeover, and associate safety.
- Develop and maintain all maintenance budgets, including annual capital expenditures.
- Expand vendor and contractor relationships, focusing on quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
- Verify and approve all Accounts Payable items, ensuring authorized purchasing, proper documentation, and GL coding.
- Maintain continuous communication with all departments to address production priorities and shortfalls in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repair capability on all key equipment and systems.
- Maintain adequate tools and spare parts inventory, with cost-effective justification.
- Coordinate facility project work, including cost estimation, bidding, managing, and scheduling as needed.
- Provide off-hours emergency maintenance contact.
- Conduct employee training, as required, on hazard communication programs, MSDS training, eyewash training, and other necessary topics.
- Inform the facility manager of all maintenance and safety concerns.
- Manage, track, and control costs associated with maintenance of the forklift/vehicle fleet, including PM and repair.
- Coordinate bidding and purchasing of equipment and maintenance parts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, required.
- 5 years of experience in operations management, required.
- 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, required.
