Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Care Aide, you will provide resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Perform resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs
  • Transport residents and perform clerical duties
Work Environment

You will be working in a single-level building attached to the Kitimat General Hospital & Health Centre, with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to our elderly residents.

Requirements
  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment
