Job Title: Data Science Lead

McKesson's Corporate is seeking a highly skilled Data Science Lead to spearhead our data science initiatives and drive innovation in the healthcare landscape.

Job Summary:

The Data Science Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of machine learning and AI solutions to address complex business challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI techniques, as well as strong leadership skills to mentor a dynamic team of data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement machine learning and AI solutions to drive business growth and improve patient care.
  • Oversee the analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
  • Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and improve models.
  • Implement advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for predictive modeling and data mining.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing systems.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.
  • Promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data science projects.
  • Expertise in AI, machine learning, NLP, LLM, and advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Databricks) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred.

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English.

We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position: $99,600 - $166,000
