Job Overview
Quantic Dream is seeking a seasoned Gameplay Design Director to spearhead the development of immersive gameplay experiences for our upcoming title, Star Wars: Eclipse. As a key member of our creative leadership team, you will collaborate closely with our artistic and narrative visionaries to craft an unforgettable experience that captivates players.
Key Responsibilities- Define the Creative Vision: Develop and refine the overall vision for gameplay mechanics, ensuring a seamless integration with the narrative and artistic direction.
- Lead the Game Design Team: Inspire and guide a team of talented designers, providing clear direction and a unified vision for gameplay.
- Design Innovative Mechanics: Create engaging and immersive game mechanics that harmonize with the narrative and aesthetics of the game.
- Collaborate with Management Teams: Ensure gameplay consistency and excellence across all aspects of the game, working closely with management teams to drive creative decisions.
- Conduct Gameplay Analyses: Conduct in-depth gameplay analyses and user tests to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure Effective Communication: Foster transparent communication and collaboration with other departments, including art, programming, and storytelling.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Game Designer or Game Director, with specific expertise in gameplay design.
- Macro Vision Development: Demonstrated ability to develop a macro vision of gameplay and communicate it convincingly to the team.
- Game Design Principles: Solid understanding of game design principles and emerging trends in the video game industry.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
