Linguistics Professor, Contractual Appointment Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Linguistics Professor to join our faculty as a two-year full-time contractually limited term appointment (CLTA) in French Linguistics.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have expertise in experimental or corpus-based French linguistics and a focus on language acquisition, bi/multilingualism, or psycholinguistics. They will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research and establish an outstanding research program.
Key Responsibilities- Pursue innovative and independent research in French Linguistics
- Establish an outstanding research program
- Teach both French linguistics (FRE) and French-as-a-second-language (FSL) courses in the French undergraduate programs
- Develop and maintain an active program of research
- Participate in experiential education and community outreach activities including with local high schools
- PhD in French or Linguistics or a related area by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching
- Native or near-native proficiency in French and strong command of spoken and written English
- Evidence of research excellence through publications, presentations, and strong endorsements from referees
- Evidence of excellence in teaching through teaching accomplishments and strong letters of reference
