Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, IT Workforce Enablement to join our team at OLG. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the transformation of our IT workforce to meet the evolving needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Workforce Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize our IT workforce, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
- Lead Change Management Efforts: Lead change management efforts to drive cultural transformation and adoption of new ways of working within our IT organization.
- Manage Resource Utilization: Manage resource utilization and capacity planning to ensure that our IT workforce is aligned with business demands.
- Performance Reporting and Feedback: Develop and implement performance reporting and feedback mechanisms to monitor and improve workforce productivity and employee experience.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders across OLG to identify workforce needs and gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop and Maintain Skills Database: Develop and maintain a database of skills and job ontologies mapped with EIT employees to facilitate the identification of skills and resources when needed.
- Technology Career Development Framework: Develop and maintain a technology career development framework for EIT roles aligned with market needs, business needs, and People and Culture standards and policies.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify and develop sustainable continuous improvement talent initiatives to allow employees to build a diverse set of skills and knowledge.
- Adoption of New Ways of Working: Advocate for and drive the adoption of new ways of working, including agile skills and behavioral shifts from a learning and development perspective.
- Operating Budget Management: Manage the operating budget for various initiatives led by the department.
Requirements:
- 10+ Years of Delivery Experience: 10+ years of delivery experience in medium to large technology environments, with evidence of increasing collaborations with vendors and senior leadership.
- 5+ Years of Stakeholder Experience: 5+ years of experience in stakeholder, change management and communications.
- Resource Management Experience: Experience in resource management and technology career framework development is preferred.
- Alternative Sourcing Experience: Experience with alternative sourcing options and efforts to optimize same across IT domains is preferred.
- Agile Experience: Previous experience in Scaled Agile or Lean Agile is preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading and mentoring teams across multiple technology domains is preferred.
Education:
- Post-Secondary Degree: Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced Certification: Advanced Scrum, Product Management, or Product Owner certification is preferred.
- Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies, values and principles.
- IT Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IT lifecycle.
- Change Management Certification: Change Management Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset for the role.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience using collaboration, issue tracking, and agile tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, aha).

- Exceptional Communication: Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to explain complex concepts to various audiences inclusive of executives and board members.
- Influencing and Negotiation: Excellent influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholder groups with diverse interests.
- Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues.
- Employee Lifecycle Knowledge: Deep understanding of the employee and contractor lifecycle.
- Organizational Change Management: Adept at leveraging organizational change management strategies and practices to successfully motivate, inspire and empower others to adapt to disruptive environments.
