Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Covering Installer to join our team at H&A Contractor Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, preparing accurate flooring plans and schedules.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a high level of finish and attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various locations, including residential settings. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and gloves as part of your personal protective equipment.

Language

The primary language of work is English, and you will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent position, working 40 to 44 hours per week. You will be required to work a regular schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.
