TITLE: Computerized Accounting - AEC Finance LCA.84
HOURS: 60
SECTIONS: One (1)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Contracts are subject to sufficient student enrollment in each course. The starting date and location for each course will be determined by the institution.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (410) AEC

EDUCATION:
A Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration (MBA) OR a Master's level degree in a related discipline OR a Bachelor's degree with a CPA/CA designation and current membership in good standing with CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants).

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in business and industry.
  • Preferred: Several years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required; bilingual candidates (English/French) are preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to teach in French may be necessary, in accordance with recent legislative changes.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must also meet the following criteria for the specific courses:

  • AB/AB Member of Sage Accounting network and relevant industry experience.

Note: In accordance with the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may consider additional professional or industrial experience in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirements. Candidates considered under this provision must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Higher education than the stated minimum may substitute for professional or industrial experience at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
