Job Title: Biopharmaceutical Production Technology Instructor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach Biopharmaceutical Production Technology courses to students enrolled in the three-year Biopharmaceutical Production Technology Program at John Abbott College.
Responsibilities:- Teach Biopharmaceutical Production Technology courses to students in the three-year Biopharmaceutical Production Technology Program.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the program.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback.
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in Biopharmaceutical Production Technology.
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field of Science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, involved in various manufacturing fields.
- Thorough knowledge of at least one of the following subject areas: oral solid dosage forms, liquid dosage forms, sterile manufacturing, bioprocesses including fermentation, production & packaging techniques, quality control and assurance, validation, clean utilities.
- Very familiar with the application of GMP/GLP and the regulated environment of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and process-development skills.
- Several years of related teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills essential.
- Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred.
- Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
- Experience with OSD Manufacturing 1 & 2, Packaging 1 & 2, and Sterile Manufacturing 1 & 2.
