The Role of the Philanthropy Specialist for Events:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of individuals and organizations for special events, including initiatives like Sleep Outs.
- Key responsibilities encompass relationship management, communication, ongoing stewardship, event management, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues, community advocates, associations, and businesses to enhance event success.
- Maintain the CRM database, support fundraising initiatives, and contribute to event logistics, guest experiences, volunteer coordination, and donor engagement.
Your Contributions:
- Lead the annual recruitment and communication cycle for Sleep Out participants.
- Establish a participant pipeline for events through strategic prospecting and research.
- Engage with event participants, addressing inquiries related to fundraising platforms and event logistics.
- Assist with event logistics, administrative duties, and CRM database upkeep.
- Oversee and support staff, volunteers, and logistics on the day of the event.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and event management.
- A degree or professional certification from a college or university is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
