Role Overview

Reporting to the Solution Architecture Manager, the SAP Presales Solution Architect holds a pivotal position at Talan. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide the sales team on SAP solutions. Your role involves fostering strong relationships with clients, collaborating on effective sales strategies, and playing a crucial part in scoping, solution design, planning, and defining roadmaps for new business opportunities.

Success in this position requires close collaboration with sales teams to drive customer acquisition and business growth within the logistics sector. Your comprehensive understanding of SAP solutions, particularly in logistics and supply chain management, will be essential for ensuring client success and expanding Talan Americas' SAP practice.

  • Presales Support : Evaluate opportunities, identify and validate customer requirements, and align technology roadmaps with SAP solutions throughout the sales process.
  • SAP Knowledge : Utilize extensive knowledge of the SAP portfolio, including S/4HANA, Cloud solutions, and RISE, to establish yourself as a trusted consultant to clients.
  • Client-Focused Solutions : Facilitate discovery sessions, comprehend business needs, and propose customized SAP solutions to meet client objectives and challenges.
  • Functional & Technical SAP Proficiency : Leverage your strong background in SAP Logistics and Supply Chain modules, including S/4HANA transformations and Cloud solutions, to analyze business processes and determine optimal solution components.
  • Engaging Presentations : Create and deliver compelling presentations and tailored demonstrations that highlight the benefits of SAP solutions.
  • Sales Cycle Management : Oversee the complete sales cycle for SAP solutions, prepare proposals, coordinate with stakeholders, and secure necessary approvals to ensure successful deal closures.
  • Sales Strategy & Development : Contribute to sales strategies and identify new opportunities for SAP solutions within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Ongoing Learning & Development : Stay updated on SAP technologies, solutions, and certifications while actively mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Established SAP Expertise : A minimum of 12 years as an SAP ERP Functional Consultant or 5+ years in SAP ERP Presales, with knowledge of S/4HANA, Cloud solutions, RISE, and Logistics/Supply Chain modules. Proven success in deal support, needs assessment, and client relationship building.
  • Exceptional Presentation & Client Interaction Skills : Outstanding presentation and product demonstration abilities, with a talent for clearly conveying complex concepts.
  • Results-Driven Sales Orientation : Experience in managing sales cycles, crafting proposals, and identifying new opportunities, with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with sales teams.
  • Technical Proficiency & Flexibility : Current knowledge of SAP technologies, products, and certifications is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills : Strong oral and written communication skills in English (French is a plus) to engage with clients across Canada.
