**Job Summary**

The Housekeeping Aide plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. As a key member of the Environmental Services team at Southern Health-Santé Sud, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms.
  • Assist with special projects and events, such as deep cleaning of high-traffic areas and preparation of facilities for inspections.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Environmental Services Manager.

**Requirements**

  • Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
  • Completed Grade 10 Education (Manitoba Standard) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in industrial and/or commercial housekeeping is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing situations.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
