  • 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certificate required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in building operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adapt quickly to new technology and innovative business solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Office 365 and Power BI is an asset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily building operations tasks, including maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor and operate all steam, hot water heating, and pressure equipment in accordance with ABSA regulations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and subcontractors on-site.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot all HVAC equipment using BMCS.
  • Maintain the water treatment program through proper testing and treatment of all systems and loops.
  • Work with preventative maintenance programs, including FMS and Ameresco.
  • Conduct regular building equipment checks and inspections, identifying abnormalities or inefficiencies.
  • Respond to tenant service requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure site logbooks and administrative records are up to date.
  • Provide operational support for Edon's in-house security and caretaking services.
  • Participate in snow removal and grounds work.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members.
