Supply Chain Attendant III (Casual)

In-Hospital Replenishment Team

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and organized? Assist our healthcare professionals in ensuring they have the necessary supplies and equipment to deliver outstanding care.

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will perform all functions related to the operation of the Stores Department, including receiving, shipping, storage, distribution, record keeping, and related material handling duties in accordance with established departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain both computerized and manual inventory records and other Stores documentation.
  • Receive, verify, unpack, and inspect goods delivered to the facility; identify and return damaged or spoiled items to suppliers, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Organize incoming inventory items in designated storage locations; ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Process inventory requests into the automated Material Management system. Assemble and distribute supplies to relevant departments, monitoring stock levels to maintain required quotas.
  • Operate pallet lifts, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Conduct accurate physical counts of stock items to fulfill audit or inventory control requirements.
  • Uphold security protocols for the department in line with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work and storage environment.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Completion of Grade 12 plus one year of recent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in inventory management, stocking, replenishment, warehouse operations, supply chain, distribution, and merchandising.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact positively with others.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Commitment to fostering reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  • Knowledge of the social, economic, political, and historical contexts of settler colonialism affecting Indigenous Peoples, along with familiarity in addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism and cultural safety.
