Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Trans-United Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and building infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and train a maintenance crew to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Work with the Plant Manager to develop and manage the maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory and capital expenditures.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production employees as needed to ensure they have the necessary skills to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, as well as company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and implement procedures to maximize operational reliability and minimize maintenance costs.
  • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted service and safe, cost-effective operation of all equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all plant equipment, including motors, relays, wiring, and temperature controls.
  • Ensure the repair of all production and processing lab equipment and update technical drawings as necessary.

Requirements

  • Licensed Millwright + Electrician (dual trade licensed) or equivalent experience and skills.
  • 5+ years of progressive relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge with production equipment, tight tolerances, and mechanical pumping systems.
  • Knowledge of plastic processing equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, problem-solve, and address changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Leadership skills and prior experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
