Job Summary

TalentWorld is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Invoice Processing: Process invoices in SAP with accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies in a timely manner.
  3. Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues and ensure prompt payment.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams on invoice matters and provide excellent customer service.
  5. Financial Reporting: Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain Accounts Payable records and petty cash in accordance with company policies.
  7. Customer Service: Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and assist with client inquiries.
  8. Administrative Tasks: Assist with office tasks, schedule meetings, and manage office supplies.
  9. Mail Management: Sort and manage incoming and outgoing mail in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance roles.
  3. Skills: Proficiency in SAP, strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and advanced Excel skills.
  4. Qualifications: Familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills.
Employment Details
  1. Salary: $23.00HR - $25.00HR
  2. Benefits: 40 hours weekly, contract, full-time, onsite
  3. Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
  4. Contract Length: 6-month contract with potential for career growth and extension
