Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock and manage automated dispensing units, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Operate select Pharmacy Automation systems, including the Omnicell automated dispensing unit.
  • Prepackage unit doses and prepare sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Assist with inventory management, including the distribution and control of narcotic and controlled drugs.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized college-level Pharmacy Assistant or Technician Program.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Previous hospital experience with unit dose and/or automated drug distribution systems and intravenous admixture service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
