Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the operation of our automated unit dose drug distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock and maintain Omnicell automated dispensing units
  • Dispense and compound patient-specific prescriptions
  • Manage and control narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Operate select Pharmacy Automation systems
  • Prepackage unit doses and prepare sterile pharmaceutical products
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized college-level Pharmacy Technician program
  • Pursuing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • Previous experience operating pharmacy automation preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical stamina to meet the demands of the position
Working Conditions

Hours of work: Monday to Sunday, days, evenings, and nights, with rotating shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.
