Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service, ensuring the integrity of fire alarm systems, and maintaining a high level of technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and verify fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with CAN/ULC standards
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot and correct technical issues with fire alarm systems
  • Complete site inspection and verification reports in a timely manner
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call emergency response service
  • Participate in the Canadian Fire Alarm Association technician program
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with CAN/ULC standards for fire alarm systems
  • Follow and participate in safety and ISO quality standards
  • Travel within HRM and Atlantic Canada as required

Requirements:

  • Certified electronics technician or equivalent experience
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration would be an asset
  • Proficient with computers and various software applications such as Windows, MS Word
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety safe work practices
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
  • Criminal background check required
  • Ability to attain Security Clearance
