Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service, ensuring the integrity of fire alarm systems, and maintaining a high level of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and verify fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with CAN/ULC standards
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and correct technical issues with fire alarm systems
- Complete site inspection and verification reports in a timely manner
- Participate in 24-hour on-call emergency response service
- Participate in the Canadian Fire Alarm Association technician program
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with CAN/ULC standards for fire alarm systems
- Follow and participate in safety and ISO quality standards
- Travel within HRM and Atlantic Canada as required
Requirements:
- Certified electronics technician or equivalent experience
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration would be an asset
- Proficient with computers and various software applications such as Windows, MS Word
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety safe work practices
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
- Criminal background check required
- Ability to attain Security Clearance
