The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the area of K-12 School Leadership.
About the PositionWe are seeking a scholar with research expertise in school and/or school system administration, governance, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to obtain research funding and demonstrate capability in teaching in areas of school and/or school system administration, governance, and/or strategic planning at the undergraduate- and graduate-levels.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in school leadership with a focus on administration, governance, and strategic planning;
- Teach courses in school leadership, administration, and governance at the undergraduate- and graduate-levels;
- Develop and maintain an externally funded research program;
- Engage with local, national, and international professional and other communities.
- A doctorate in Education (or related discipline);
- Evidence of a research program in school leadership with a proven ability to obtain research funding;
- Demonstrated capability in teaching in areas of school and/or school system administration, governance, and/or strategic planning at the undergraduate- and graduate-levels;
- Engagement with local, national, and international professional and other communities.
Applicants are invited to submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter, reprints of two representative academic publications, and the names of and contact information for three referees.
Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2024.
