Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with a focus on Quantum Technologies. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and is contingent on final budget approval.
About the PositionWe seek a highly qualified candidate with a strong research agenda in entrepreneurship and innovation, and a demonstrated interest in exploring the application and leveraging of quantum technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program in this area, teach courses in entrepreneurship and innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in service to the Area, the Haskayne School of Business, and the University of Calgary.
Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality research in entrepreneurship and innovation, with a focus on quantum technologies
- Teach courses in entrepreneurship and innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Participate in service to the Area, the Haskayne School of Business, and the University of Calgary
- Develop a research program in entrepreneurship and innovation with a focus on quantum technologies
- Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution
- Evidence of past and/or potential excellence in scholarship, as demonstrated by high-quality research published and/or invited for revision in our highest-quality academic journals
- A strong research program in entrepreneurship and innovation, with high potential for future publications in high-quality academic outlets
- Evidence of strong theoretical and methodological skills and a mastery of the relevant literature in entrepreneurship and innovation
- An interest in developing a research agenda relating to the application and leveraging of quantum technologies in entrepreneurship
- Evidence of strong teaching effectiveness, as demonstrated by student evaluations
- A willingness to engage in service to the school, university, and profession
