About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pest Control Specialist to join our team at Akim Pest Control Inc. As a Pest Control Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation, providing estimates of costs, and determining the type of treatment required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
  • Provide estimates of costs and determine the type of treatment required
  • Prepare and spray chemical mixtures on infested areas
  • Fumigate households
  • Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
  • Install animal control barriers to keep animals off property
  • Clean out areas that harbour pests
  • Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation
Requirements
  • Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, and reliability
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work environment is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to work in various locations and may be required to work at heights.
