About the Role

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Leader to join our team as a National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) Surgeon Champion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to physicians and other healthcare providers on surgical quality and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and staff to identify evidence-based strategies to ensure best practice at the site.
  • Partner with the NSQIP Regional Team to discuss opportunities for quality improvement, review NSQIP data and reports, and attend regular meetings and conferences.
  • Develop and support at least one quality improvement project per year, in partnership with the NSQIP Regional Team.
  • Advocate for NSQIP and provide updates/reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete quality improvement training and education requirements.
