Job Summary:

Southeast Child Family Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Facilitator to join our team. As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering culturally informed programming, life skills workshops, and therapeutic groups for families across Southeast communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programming that includes cultural and land-based activities, parenting programs, pre-employment training, life skills workshops, recreational activities, and therapeutic groups.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with program participants and maintain a safe and accessible environment.
  • Design interactive presentations and facilitate group activities that foster engagement and empowerment.
  • Evaluate and refine program content, delivery, and engagement to meet the needs of families.
  • Nurture positive and respectful relationships with families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports and attendance.
  • Support the coordination of programs, events, and workshops, including venue booking, transportation, and supply purchasing.
  • Contribute to budget development and expense tracking methods.
  • Design promotional materials using various software.
  • Respond to inquiries from participants, colleagues, and community partners in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of related experience, with a degree or diploma preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Anishinaabe cultural beliefs, values, ceremonies, and teachings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with First Nation communities, including leadership, children, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-related research.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Skilled in articulating ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Checks.
  • Valid Driver's License and use of a personal vehicle for regular travel to communities.
