Job Title: Procurement and Subcontract Specialist

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Subcontract Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing high-value contracts and procurement activities, including commercial bid evaluation, negotiation strategy development, and contract terms & conditions review.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a solid contracting plan and strategy to align with budget, schedule, quality, cost, etc.
  • Develop negotiation strategies for high-value contracts and participate in commercial negotiations.
  • Lead company review of commercial bid evaluation and terms & conditions, providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely review and approval of procurement and subcontract documentation.
  • Monitor contractor performance, review, evaluate, and facilitate approval of change orders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement and/or subcontracts for major capital projects.
  • Prior experience in oil & gas, chemical, or infrastructure industry preferred.
  • Experienced in high-value contract negotiation and able to provide insights and justification based on quantitative analysis and facts.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to prepare and present coherent PowerPoint presentations to senior management.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities within tight time frames.

  • Ability to be innovative and vision-oriented with demonstrated ability to undertake strategic planning and implementation.
