Job Description

Job Title: Lead Planner

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Planner to join our team. As a Lead Planner, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling projects, providing guidance and support to lower-level planners, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project schedules and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
  • Load resource/budget schedules and lead and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
  • Set up baseline schedules and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
  • Update schedules and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
  • Extract Primavera data files and send to the cost controller.
  • Issue schedules for internal and external use.
  • Monitor and control the progress of the work against the schedule.
  • Prepare and update resource requirements reports.
  • Report critical schedule issues.
  • Identify and explain variances between current schedule, plan, earned values, and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • University degree (B. Eng, BCom, etc).
  • 15+ years of relevant planning and schedule, cost control experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
  • Expert knowledge of project management techniques and a number of years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to details.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures.
  • Solid report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical skills.
