Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patients' needs, providing individualized care and treatment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide wound care as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Post-graduate certification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing, or a minimum of one year's recent related experience in an Emergency or ICU setting
  • Current certification in CPR - Basic Rescuer level required; ACLS certification preferred
  • All Specially Trained Nursing Skills (STN) related to the unit of employment must be completed within six (6) months of employment
