A structured path to Wealth Advisor: The Associate Wealth Advisor will collaborate with an experienced CC&L Private Capital Wealth Advisor for a three-year mentorship focused on sales and service. During this period, you will become registered and take on client relationships, providing independent service with comprehensive coaching. Our extensive coaching program will help you develop the skills necessary to nurture these relationships while attracting new clients, laying the groundwork for your own practice.
After completing the three-year mentorship, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Wealth Advisor position and further develop your practice in client acquisition and retention. Key Responsibilities As an Associate Wealth Advisor, you will work closely with an experienced Wealth Advisor, engaging in daily client interactions. In this client-facing role, you will play a crucial part in delivering outstanding client experiences and identifying new client opportunities while benefiting from firm-led coaching and support tailored to your development. We are dedicated to your personal and professional advancement, assisting you in maximizing your potential to achieve success and transition to a Wealth Advisor role within four years, equipped with a solid client base. Your primary responsibilities will include: Assisting an established Wealth Advisor in providing exceptional client service and delivering investment planning and portfolio management to high-net-worth clients, both collaboratively and independently as needed. Learning to evaluate client suitability for investments, guiding asset allocation, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of each client’s needs. Supporting the preparation of client meeting materials, including documentation and tailored updates for presentation during client meetings. Managing and executing daily client requests while ensuring a high level of personalized service with efficiency and precision. Navigating the requirements for all aspects of new and existing account documentation, executing on systems, and collaborating with administrative support teams. Actively participating as a team member and engaging in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge. Demonstrating the ability to acquire self-sourced clients through effective networking and business development activities. Confidently showcasing the skills of a Wealth Advisor throughout the three-year mentorship. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess strong client service skills and a foundational knowledge of investments, coupled with an interest in sales and business development. With a solid training and coaching background, this individual will be eager to learn and pursue continuous growth as they transition to the Wealth Advisor role after four years. The candidate should align with our high-growth firm culture and collaborate effectively with colleagues while maintaining a positive attitude. Essential attributes include: Strong customer service skills – ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a high level of integrity. Effective communicator with strong presentation skills. Natural relationship-building, collaboration, and networking abilities. Aptitude for engaging with high-net-worth clients and sales. Interest and capability to understand financial markets and portfolio/investment management. Core skills to guide clients in investment suitability assessments and asset allocation. Core skills to assist clients in portfolio construction and investment planning. Willingness to learn new skills and topics related to wealth planning discussions. Potential to confidently advise clients on wealth decisions, particularly regarding investment advice. Industry experience: ability to achieve registration as AAR or AR-CRM by the end of year one. Undergraduate degree; CFA required by the end of the first year in the role, if not currently registered with Securities Commissions.
