About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Advisor, Nuclear Energy Economics. As a key member of our Nuclear Supply Branch, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing provincial policies and strategies related to nuclear energy generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on economic, regulatory, environmental, and social considerations of nuclear energy supply in Ontario;
  • Assess the impact of initiatives and analyze and develop policy options and strategies concerning nuclear energy in Ontario;
  • Develop and present policy recommendations based on research and analyses of complex technical, regulatory, and economic aspects of nuclear energy;
  • Consult with stakeholders and partners to support the development and implementation of nuclear energy policies and strategies;
  • Lead research and studies related to nuclear energy and manage research contracts.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques of public policy, economics, finance, and regulatory principles;
  • Experience in the energy and/or nuclear sector, with a strong understanding of the diverse economic, regulatory, environmental, and social challenges;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to lead research and studies, and manage research contracts;
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Internet and Intranet.
