Procurement Analyst (Permanent, Full-Time)

Position Overview

We are excited to announce a permanent full-time opportunity for a Procurement Analyst within the Planning and Procurement Division. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about procurement and possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent time-management abilities. The Procurement Analyst will provide essential technical expertise, conduct analyses, and offer business advisory services concerning the competitive bidding process, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, vendor performance evaluations, and serve as a liaison for procurement-related matters with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A diploma in a Business-related field along with an SCMP designation or its equivalent.
  2. A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a large and complex procurement environment, with a focus on competitive bidding, contract negotiation, contract management, and vendor oversight.

Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Information

For new hires and those in designated trust positions, a police information check is required prior to a formal employment offer. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies this position. This role is classified under CUPE local 900. The application process will remain open until a suitable candidate is identified.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (year-round)

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $46.098
