Procurement Analyst (Permanent, Full-Time)

Position Overview

We are excited to announce a permanent full-time opportunity for a Procurement Analyst within the Planning and Procurement Division. This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for procurement, exceptional time-management abilities, keen attention to detail, and outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.

The Procurement Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering technical expertise, conducting analyses, and providing business advisory services throughout the competitive bidding process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Acting as a liaison for procurement-related inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. A diploma in a Business-related field along with an SCMP designation or an equivalent qualification.
  2. A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a large and complex procurement environment, with a focus on competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

We may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Information:

For new hires and those in designated positions of trust, a police information check is required prior to formal employment offers. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position, which is classified under CUPE local 900.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (year-round)

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $46.098
