Mining Infrastructure Specialist

Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, our Zinc Division is dedicated to advancing mining engineering talent with a focus on infrastructure development.
Position OverviewThis role is pivotal in the design and enhancement of infrastructure systems for our international mining initiatives. You will engage in both brownfield and greenfield projects across various mining operations, ensuring that essential infrastructure—such as haul roads, water management systems, and power distribution—is effectively integrated into our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage with diverse stakeholders to devise and implement infrastructure solutions that align with our global mining initiatives;
- Refine and develop infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications;
- Offer technical expertise during the planning and execution phases of infrastructure components for mining projects;
- Employ engineering software and methodologies to produce precise and dependable infrastructure models;
- Conduct thorough site evaluations and due diligence to guide infrastructure planning and design;
- Remain informed about advancements in mining infrastructure technology, applying innovative approaches where relevant.
- Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or a related discipline);
- Extensive experience in the design and development of mining infrastructure, particularly in underground and open pit settings;
- Strong understanding of the interplay between mining operations, infrastructure systems, and environmental factors;
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams through various project stages;
- Significant skills in stakeholder engagement and a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects;
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar tools;
- Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to convey technical information clearly and effectively;
- Self-sufficient, systematic, and collaborative with a proactive approach to problem-solving;
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects efficiently;
- Fluent in English, as this is an international role. Knowledge of Russian is advantageous.
Language: English (advanced). Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian is a plus.
Travel Expectations:Candidates should be prepared for domestic and international travel, approximately 20% of the time, and be comfortable collaborating with colleagues across various time zones.
