About the Role

Tribute Electric Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical distribution and transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical distribution and transmission systems to ensure safe and efficient power delivery.
  • Splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • Write maintenance reports to document work completed and identify areas for improvement.
  • Inspect overhead and underground power lines and cables to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads and working in confined spaces. You must be physically fit and able to climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets when working aloft on poles and towers.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and make decisions.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
