As a Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with senior management to devise strategies for proposals and presentations; actively engaging in the planning and crafting of tailored responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and interview preparations.
  • Exhibiting strong writing and storytelling skills, with the capability to distill complex or technical information from various sources into cohesive and compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrating a passion for content marketing and a flair for developing innovative and engaging methods of information delivery.
  • Overseeing the creation of statements of interest, qualifications, proposals, marketing materials, and related correspondence.
  • Participating in pre-interview strategy sessions and presentation rehearsals with design teams, ensuring the application of established win strategies and themes in presentation materials.
  • Assigning tasks and following up to guarantee that projects are executed with the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Conducting research and gathering information on current and potential clients, competitor activities, and industry trends to support the development of marketing strategies and proposals.
  • Building and maintaining a network of industry contacts, including consultants, contractors, and clients; cultivating leads and gathering insights through this network.
  • Assisting team members with marketing initiatives to prepare for meetings, interviews, and other engagements with prospective clients, as well as for speaking opportunities and marketing events.
  • Centralizing information regarding business development activities, including leads, contacts, and schedules of events.
  • Ensuring timely communication of information among team members; managing prompt decisions and actions in business development efforts.
  • Exploring opportunities to enhance workflow and technology utilization without compromising quality.
  • Attending community and industry events and conferences to represent the firm.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or a design-related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant marketing or communications roles, preferably within the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) sector.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills; strong editing and proofreading abilities; a keen eye for graphic design.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with peers and senior personnel.
  • Experience working autonomously as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision; adept at meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
  • A team-oriented mindset; possessing a sense of humor and composure under stress; persistent, tactful, and enthusiastic.
  • Sound professional judgment, a strong work ethic, and a positive, client-focused attitude.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing processes, tools, and successful project management experience.
  • A thorough understanding of effective document and presentation production, with insight into proposal and presentation psychology.
  • Experience in managing teams, including the ability to coach and mentor in both group and individual settings.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and PowerPoint is essential; familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, and database programs such as Deltek Vision and Axomic OpenAsset is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client projects and other business needs.
