Job Title: Data Management Team Lead

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Team Lead to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality data to support different processes.
  • Integrate new custodians into our daily recon feed (mapping data, build rules and workflows)
  • Support day to day operations processes like report generation, pricing, reconciliation (pool funds, troubleshoot errors on a daily basis, process corporate actions (specialty in drips), class action claims, massive letter creations (example tax packets).Work with system users to maintain and adapt processes according to new business needs, quality control.
  • Assist Operations team with ad hoc tasks such as data entry, reporting, data quality assurance, data mining, system testing.Execute month and quarter-end data loads.Maintain reconciliation systems.Verify if reconciliation process is ready to start early in the morning.Run a daily automated reconciliation process.Design and develop rules to improve the automated reconciliation and data process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Business or related field or experience.
  • 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience in databases.
  • Innovative and eager for involvement in new projects and initiatives.
  • Bilingual in English and French with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Environment:
  • Advent (APX, ACD, REX,IMEX), StatPro, Bloomberg, Crystal reports, SQL, Accuterm, Access, SS&C Recon, Excel (master use).
