Opportunity Overview:
We are excited to present a distinctive opportunity for a Senior Manager to become an integral part of Grant Thornton's Audit practice. In this role, you will lead and mentor a vibrant team, inspiring and empowering them to reach their professional aspirations while contributing to a positive team atmosphere. You will engage with a diverse array of privately held businesses and not-for-profit organizations, acting as a trusted Business Advisor. This position allows you to make a significant impact by assisting clients in navigating business challenges and achieving their objectives. You will play a crucial role in strategic decision-making and contribute to the formulation of business strategies. As a valued subject matter expert, you will receive support from senior practitioners to advance your professional development. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and seek to influence key strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing, executing, and reviewing client engagement work, including managing plans and budgets.
- Taking charge of client engagements and nurturing client relationships.
- Collaborating with partnership groups across various Grant Thornton offices nationwide.
- Leading teams and ensuring clear communication of client expectations.
- Proactively addressing challenges alongside team members or clients.
- Reporting to Partners while managing engagement pricing and budgeting.
- Contributing to the firm's leadership by participating in the development and execution of the office business plan.
- Engaging in coaching and performance management by conducting timely reviews and providing ongoing feedback to junior team members.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Manager, Assurance Audit position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a CPA designation, with a minimum of four years of post-designation experience.
- A strong background in reviewing audit engagements, particularly with owner-managed clients and non-profits within a public practice context.
- A desire to lead teams within the audit and small business sectors.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage others.
- Ability to build and nurture meaningful relationships with colleagues, clients, and within the marketplace, founded on trust and respect.
- A proactive approach to enhancing the firm’s presence in the marketplace through business development and client service initiatives.
- A strong focus on people management and a commitment to coaching.
