Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at COLOSSUS OF RHODES - COLOSSUS GREEK TAVERNA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong understanding of various pastry techniques.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Work Environment

This position is based in a vibrant restaurant setting where creativity and quality are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for a variety of baked goods including pies, breads, rolls, and desserts, following recipes or special requests.
  • Order and manage inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Bake and monitor mixed dough and batters to ensure optimal results.
  • Handle special orders with precision and care.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries to enhance presentation.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Operate kitchen machinery effectively.
  • Prepare dishes accommodating customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Cuisine Specialties

Experience in Greek cuisine is preferred, particularly in the preparation of:

  • Breads and rolls
  • Desserts and pastries
Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available for commuting.
