Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and tools, including mopping and sweeping
  • Perform tasks that require bending, twisting, lifting, and fine motor skills
  • Lift objects weighing more than 30 pounds
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to high attention to detail
  • Handle hazardous chemicals and non-motorized cleaning equipment
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions and environments
  • Exposure to unpleasant odors, isolation, and monotony
  • Interact with staff and visitors in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Public School and/or High School Graduate
  • More than three months but less than one year of prior related experience
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks
  • Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army
