Position OverviewThe Aviation Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to aviation regulations and the training principles set forth by FlightSafety.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate pilot ground and simulator training sessions for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment training programs.
- Design and prepare instructional materials that align with the training curriculum and meet client-specific needs.
- Assess and monitor trainee performance, providing recommendations for qualification or additional training as necessary.
- Maintain accurate training documentation for each client, supporting their objectives and success.
- Identify and address client training challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain instructor qualifications.

- Willingness to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
- Possession of an unrestricted ATP certificate or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.
- If ATP is not held, must meet the criteria outlined in:

- 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training.
- Preferred: A total flight time of 2,500 hours.
- In-depth understanding of aviation safety standards and practices.
- Familiarity with common aviation regulations.
- Proficient in managing classroom dynamics and delivering effective instruction.
- Strong facilitation and customer service skills.
- Open to feedback and committed to personal development.
In the execution of this role, the employee is frequently required to utilize their hands for various tasks, reach with arms, and communicate effectively. Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, and lifting. The role demands a range of motion necessary to operate simulator controls and to move within the training environment. Specific vision capabilities are essential, including close and distance vision, color perception, and depth perception. The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly. Additionally, the work environment may involve exposure to mechanical parts and varying weather conditions.
