Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Fueler to ensure smooth operations on the tarmac. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing daily Quality Control checks on equipment, fueling aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, and maintaining accurate records of fuel transactions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fuel aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company and airline procedures.
  • Accurately account for fuel transactions, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel, adhering to company and airline procedures.
  • Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed, following established protocols.
  • Operate fuel trucks and hydrant carts to fuel aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Calculate fuel distributions for a variety of aircraft, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Drive a variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles, adhering to company and airline procedures.
  • Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions as required by the Company and Airlines.
  • Meet the station's attendance record, adhering to company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess/maintain a valid Class G driver's license in good standing and other Airport required identification/security passes or authorizations.
  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs. of material and equipment.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors, requiring comfort in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain the D AVOP issued by the GTAA (both written & practical).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliability, our customer and your fellow employees rely on you.
