Structural Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Technologist to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our Structural group, you will work alongside exceptional professionals to deliver high-quality solutions for clients using innovative technologies and alternate delivery methods.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal design teams, subconsultants, clients, and contractors to develop structural models and drawings from concept design to completion.
- Develop and communicate ideas utilizing a design process and collaboration model that includes a wide range of tools, such as sketching, 2D and 3D modelling, incorporating photorealistic 3D reality capture, and virtual reality technologies to provide graphic clarity.
- Assist engineers, architects, and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
- Coordinate with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
- Coordinate with other consultants' BIM models.
- Work with project managers to align production team efforts to meet submission dates.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to BIM, including understanding the landscape of cloud-based BIM programs.
- Potential for travelling between JLR offices and project sites across Ontario and Canada and around the world, as required, to meet the needs of various projects.
