Sheridan College seeks a visionary leader to spearhead its Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).

Reporting directly to the Dean of Innovation, you will guide CAAI's evolution into a nationally recognized hub for AI research and development. Your strategic direction will shape partnerships with industry leaders and community stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and manage a team of talented researchers and operational staff, nurturing their expertise in cutting-edge AI technologies.
  • Develop and execute strategies to secure funding opportunities, ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of CAAI.
  • Forge strong connections with other research centers within Sheridan, facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations that leverage diverse perspectives and expertise.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a highly accomplished individual with a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Your extensive experience (7+ years) in the AI domain will be instrumental in guiding CAAI's research agenda.

A proven track record of success in grant writing, business development, and managing complex research projects is essential. Your deep understanding of AI principles and your ability to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies will be invaluable assets.
