Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Relations Specialist to join our team at GardaWorld. As a Labour Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our labour relations policies and practices are consistently applied across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to the Labour Relations team on a wide range of labour and employee relations issues, including performance management, discipline, investigations, case law, and interpersonal relationship problems.
  • Grievance Management: Contribute to grievance management beyond step 3 by taking charge of the mediation and negotiation process to ensure effective grievance management and minimize organizational and financial costs.
  • Collective Bargaining: Contribute to collective bargaining, including the preparation and negotiation phase.
  • Training and Development: Contribute to the development of training programs for operational and administrative teams.
  • Labour Relations Service Offering: Participate in the development of our labour relations service offering by implementing new, innovative practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in human resources or labour relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills: Experience working in a federal jurisdiction is ideal. Work experience in a labour relations position, ideally in team supervision. Experience in disciplinary investigations and the implementation of corrective measures.
