Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer I to join our team at Grimmway Farms. As a key member of our Ag Operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with continuous improvement and analysis of Ag operations, including field trials, systems analysis, modeling, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance Ag operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Conduct analysis and modeling to identify areas for improvement and develop project proposals.
  3. Determine project specifications, responsibilities, and schedules by studying design, stakeholder requirements, and performance standards.
  4. Maintain project schedules and control project progress by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  5. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  6. Confirm product performance by designing and conducting trials.
  7. Maintain project databases by compiling performance data and entering and backing up data.
  8. Support team members as needed and contribute to the overall effort.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience: Entry-level technical project experience, including analysis, problem identification, and solution proposal and execution, preferred.

Key Competencies: Principles of mechanical, hydraulic, structural steel design, and DC electrical systems, principles of project management, statistical analysis, and operations process analysis and documentation.

Support Skills: Excellent communication and observation/analysis skills, technical writing skills, ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with all levels of employees, and ability to adhere to and facilitate company policies.
