We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide outreach community-based support services to individuals experiencing mental health, behavioral, and developmental problems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide life skills training, coaching, advocacy, and support to clients and their caregivers/families
- Assist in mental health and substance use treatment, and provide individual and personal care services
- Teach and demonstrate home maintenance and household management methods
- Facilitate client attendance at appointments, programs, and services
- Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and in-services
We are looking for an individual with a Grade 12 plus successful completion of the Community Mental Health Worker Certificate or Social Services Worker Diploma and two years' recent related experience. You must also have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate business insurance coverage.
