Position Summary
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, adhering to the hospital's objectives and policies.
Qualifications
- Current general class registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is required.
- Completion of Coronary Care I & II (or equivalent) within the previous two years to ACLS standards is needed.
- Proficiency in arrhythmia analysis is required.
- Current Patient Assessment Course within three years is required.
- Demonstrated competency in IV therapy and medication administration.
- Two years of medical/surgical experience is necessary.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and certifications in ACLS, Coronary Care, and Critical Care are strongly preferred.
- Canadian Critical Care Certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Support for the development of the Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT).
- Proven commitment to professional development and teamwork.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
