  • LOCATION: Fort McMurray – the selected candidate will need to be physically based in this location

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This position is part of the Commercial Marketing team, responsible for driving commercial and consumer performance in a designated area. Success in this role will be achieved by cultivating robust relationships with retailers and their staff, utilizing commercial insights and digital tools to meet consumer demands.

Reports to: Business Area Manager / Strategic Area Manager

Reporting Level: No direct reports

Geographic Scope: Local

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Overseeing your territory to achieve volume and market share objectives that align with national, regional, and district goals through effective execution of promotional activities across all product lines;
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience by leveraging digital resources to maintain strong business relationships, training retailers and staff to effectively represent our brands, addressing retailer and staff inquiries promptly, ensuring compliance with contracts, and delivering tailored customer and consumer insights to enhance performance;
  • Generating and sustaining market demand for our diverse product range by ensuring optimal inventory levels, achieving distribution targets, minimizing out-of-stock situations, merchandising effectively, and maintaining competitive pricing across the product portfolio;
  • Collaborating on special initiatives at both provincial and national levels with fellow Territory Managers;
  • Driving performance in a highly regulated environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., marketing-focused role)
  • Prior experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or global organization.
  • Strong record of extracurricular involvement (e.g., case competitions, academic groups, sports teams, etc.)

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • A desire for an experience that offers daily opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic mindset, and account management skills.
  • Energetic, motivated, and self-sufficient.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and the ability to analyze commercial data, identify business opportunities, and implement plans effectively.
  • Capability to focus on long-term objectives while seizing short-term opportunities.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline
  • Valid driver's license in any Canadian province or territory.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Fluency in English.
