Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Field Service Specialist to join our team at Spartan Controls Ltd. This role will involve providing commissioning, start-up, and repair services on control valves and regulator products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site field service support for our control and regulator instrumentation customers
- Startup and commissioning of all control and regulator products as required by customers
- Support the sales team with technical telephone and field support
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair a variety of control products and regulators
- Provide telephone customer support on control and regulator instrumentation
- Responsibility for in-house and factory repairs of products when not at site
- Operate forklifts and cranes
- Participate in 7/24 on-call rotation
Requirements
- Diploma from a 2-year Technologist Instrumentation course or Journeyman/Journeywoman/Journeyperson Instrument Certificate
- Previous instrumentation field service or depot experience with control valves and regulators an asset
- Strong trouble-shooting skills
- Comprehensive computer background and skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to produce quality documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Physically able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Valid Alberta driver's license, safe driving record, and willing to travel
